What exactly are recycling bags?
Recycled bags are bags that are made from recycled materials - for example, disused trade fair banners, giant posters, old displays, construction fence banners, advertising posters, outdoor advertising, OOH materials (the list is almost endless). They are a sustainable alternative to conventional bags and actively contribute to reducing waste. The recycling bags breathe a second life into discarded old material.
Where are the recycling bags used?
The possible uses are many and varied. Many customers use the bags as employee gifts (special involvement through the use of company material). The bags are also given out as a special giveaway at trade fairs with a guaranteed eye-catcher. Other customers have the production process documented for their social media platforms and then organise competitions with guaranteed attention.
What is special about upcycling projects? What does „unique“ mean in this context?
The processing of the material and, above all, the hand-cutting process result in unique bags that cannot be produced a second time. The availability of the material quantity determines (strictly limited) the number of bags produced. It is therefore a strictly limited edition, which is what makes these bags so special.
Which materials can be recycled?
We’d be happy to check in advance whether your material is suitable for processing. In general, almost all materials – such as lorry tarpaulins, banners, PVC banners, mesh, mesh vinyl, flag fabrics, outdoor advertising, construction hoarding tarpaulins, etc. – can be processed. Aluminium-based roll-up films cannot be processed, as they perforate when sewn, leading to tears. They are therefore not durable! We check all materials for suitability. Old and heavily worn lorry tarpaulins are often problematic to clean and process.
Are the used materials cleaned before processing?
Cleaning both sides of the old material by our specialists is essential. Unless the material has already been cleaned by the customer or it is material that has only been used indoors or has never been used before.
I want upcycling bags but don't have my own material? What can I do?
Many customers do not use up all the materials they have and donate the leftover materials to customers who do not have their own. This is simply to avoid having to dispose of them. We therefore have a fairly large stock of leftover materials, which you are welcome to use if you do not have your own.
How long has this product division been around?
The upcycling of used materials has been an integral part of the Pro Factory range since 2007. The concept of sustainability is still with us today and we are delighted that this product segment has been experiencing a real renaissance for some years now and that the circular economy is becoming increasingly popular.
Why can upcycling productions be used well for PR purposes?
If you do good, you’re welcome to show it off. Many customers ask us to document their production processes under the theme „From banner to bag“ so they can create short videos or production features for their social media platforms and websites. Feel free to take a look at our social media channels to get a little insight into what we do.
Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
All our standard models are available from a minimum order quantity of 50 bags. Smaller quantities are only possible in exceptional cases due to the high set-up costs per production run. Please do not hesitate to contact us. We will then charge a set-up fee of €50.00 per production.
Is it possible to order several bag models per order (keyword: model mix)?
Of course, it’s the mix of models that makes our product range so fascinating. Choose your favourite models and we’ll put together a quote tailored to your ideal bag combination.
How does the material get to Pro Factory, especially when large quantities of material are involved?
Where possible, we recommend that you send items yourself (in a cardboard box) to our business address, as this is the most cost-effective option. Please ensure that the boxes are clearly labelled with the project name (for sorting purposes), as we receive a large number of material consignments every day. We will then arrange for the materials to be transported on to the factory (via a carbon-neutral consolidated shuttle service).
Where are the bags produced?
Our consultancy is located in Neu Wulmstorf, Germany. This is where we collect all project information and the material to be processed. Once a week, the collected material is transported by shuttle to the processing plant in Grünberg (Poland), where the entire processing (cutting, cleaning, sewing, packaging) takes place.
How do you calculate the total quantity of bags that can be produced if the quantity of material that can be processed is specified?
The amount of material available is always the limiting factor in upcycling production. Each bag model has its own material requirements (depending on its size). Simply tell us the available material area in square metres and name your favourite bag style, and we’ll work out how many can be made from the material provided!
How stable and durable are the bags?
The bags made from your old promotional material are almost “indestructible”, particularly when made from banner material, for example. When using fabric materials such as flag fabric, Seaqual, etc., we generally recommend using a stabilising rPET inner lining.
How does upcycling production work?
The upcycling process in 10 simple steps is here explained in detail.
Can the upcycling bags and accessories be branded / have a logo printed on them afterwards?
Over 95% of our customers take advantage of the option to add branding retrospectively via a digitally printed logo: flexible, cost-effective and freely positionable. Here you’ll find an overview of all branding options. There are, of course, other branding options too, such as web labels, soft rubber logos, logo flags, etc.
What is the interior of the bags like?
With us, every bag can be individually equipped, you can add all the features yourself, like a puzzle: inner lining, simple pockets (with or without zip), padded notebook compartment, removable notebook inlay, organiser elements (mobile phone and pen holder), shoulder pads, etc. - we will be happy to advise you on all possible options for each bag model.
What print data is required (format, resolution)?
We can process Ai, PDF, EPS, JPG and TIFF data as formats, of course always in a print resolution of 300 dpi. The specific specifications for creating a digital print logo are available for download here.
How long does it take to produce the customised bags?
As we produce in Poland, just over the German border, we have very short delivery and transport routes. The production time depends largely on the order quantity and is normally between 3-4 weeks after production approval and receipt of material. Of course, express productions or advance shipments of already finished quantities are possible at any time! Please note that our main production period (Christmas business) starts at the beginning of September. The delivery time can therefore extend to up to six weeks.
Can I receive a sample in advance?
We will be happy to send you a sample of your desired model in advance for a personal haptic assessment. We will provide you with the sample free of charge for 4 weeks and will then be happy to send it back to you.
Are special sizes or customised products possible?
Our standard bag models are very diverse, click here for an overview. These models cover around 98% of customer requirements and are constantly being developed further. But do you have a completely different idea of your dream bag? No problem - we are also happy to realise individual productions according to customer requirements.

Which countries do you deliver to?
Our main customers are based in the D-A-CH region. Of course, we also deliver to all other European countries.
What does shipping cost?
We always choose the cheapest shipping method - either by parcel delivery via DHL or by forwarding agent, depending on the quantity of bags/number of boxes. From an order value of €3,000.00, we deliver free to an address of your choice.
Is express delivery available?
Time and again, customers need their bags as quickly as possible because an event is coming up or a repeat order has simply been forgotten. We have very good production planning and can always reschedule and postpone projects. Simply contact us - we will do our utmost to realise express productions as quickly as possible.
How does shipping work for bulk orders?
We have a lot of experience with logistics solutions for large shipments and very good contacts with haulage companies and couriers. Once you have ordered the bag and provided us with the delivery address, the matter is taken care of for you - we will ensure a smooth delivery!
Are there graduated prices for larger quantities?
For all our bag models, you will find pre-calculated graduated prices for quantities of 50/100/250/500/1,000 pieces on our website. Simply tell us the quantity of material you require and we will calculate a free and non-binding initial offer for you!
Will I receive a customised offer?
We are always happy to provide you with a customised quote. Simply tell us your favourite model and the total amount of material available, then we will calculate the maximum quantity of bags that can be produced and create a suitable offer. Do you have a specific budget? No problem - we'll calculate the right amount of bags for you!
How does the ordering process work?
From advertising banner to bag - you can find an exact overview of all 10 steps that lie between your discarded advertising material and your upcycling bag here.
Which payment methods are accepted?
You will receive the invoice once production is complete, with a payment term of 14 days.
Are the prices net or gross?
As we work exclusively in the B2B sector, all prices shown on our website are net prices plus VAT.
Can individual orders also be realised?
Unfortunately not. Our production is geared towards manufacturing larger quantities of bags, so we are unfortunately unable to produce individual items and ask for your understanding, as the set-up costs for this would be too high. A bag maker in your area will certainly be able to help you with a bespoke order.
Can I receive a free sample to view before ordering?
We will be happy to send you a sample of your desired model in advance for a personal haptic assessment. We will provide you with the sample free of charge for 4 weeks and will then be happy to send it back to you.
How do I ensure that the branding and logo placement meet my expectations?
After receiving the print data, our graphics department will create a stand visual for your logo on the selected bag model. You receive this digital proof from us for approval and therefore know exactly how your bag will look with branding so that there are no nasty surprises. If you don't like the placement, we simply go to the correction round.
How do I find the right equipment among all the equipment options?
In the initial offer, we list all optional equipment options for the selected bag model. This gives you a good overview of which features are possible and how they are priced. So you can „put together“ your dream bag in a relaxed manner.
How sustainable are the products really?
All our upcycling products are unconditionally 100% sustainable. All materials are recycled instead of being destroyed. It's all about a genuine circular economy without embellishment; the advertising and trade fair materials are given a second life as a lifestyle product and advertising medium with guaranteed attention.
How high is the proportion of recycled material?
The majority of our bags are made from recycled materials. Our declared aim is to conserve resources and at the same time deliver a durable, high-quality product. The outer material is of course a 100% recycled product, the inner lining is made from recycled rPET polyester. The shoulder straps are B-grade products from the automotive industry, which cannot be used there for safety reasons. Second chance - second life - circular economy at its best! The recycled content of an upcycled bag is therefore approx. 97%, as only the zips, buckles and branding labels used come from new production - the other production materials are all reused materials.
How environmentally friendly is production?
Production can be described as very environmentally friendly. In addition to recycling old materials, which is sustainable anyway, we bundle the transport of materials in the best possible way. All customer materials are collected in our Neu Wulmstorf office and transported to the processing plant once a week by collective transport/shuttle service. Short distances and delivery times as well as climate-friendly transport are important to us. The power supply to our manufacturing plant is provided by Green Energy.
